As regular readers of the site will have already seen, Super Mario 3D All-Stars got off to a cracking start in the UK, jumping straight in at number one in its debut week. As it turns out, the game's early success was even bigger than we first thought.
As reported by ReedPop's Christopher Dring, who has been sharing GfK chart data on social media, 3D All-Stars has actually just enjoyed the third-biggest launch of any game in the UK this year. Only The Last of Us Part II and Animal Crossing: New Horizons enjoyed bigger launches – two of the most hotly anticipated titles of the year.
