It's time for this week's <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/tags/box-art-brawl">Box Art Brawl</a>!</p> <p><a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/features/poll-box-art-brawl-duel-super-bomberman-2-snes">Last time</a>, it was a one-on-one match-up for the SNES' <strong>Super Bomberman 2</strong> to celebrate its arrival in the <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch-2/super-bomberman-collection-nintendo-switch-2-edition">Super Bomberman Collection</a>, and it was a pretty tight contest. New Strategy RPG 'Brigandine: Abyss' Is Coming To Switch 2 In 2026

<p><strong>NIS America teams up with Happinet.</strong></p> <p>The Switch 2 is getting another strategy RPG, with NIS America this week announcing it's teamed up with Happinet to publish <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch-2/brigandine-abyss">Brigandine: Abyss</a> - a "brand-new entry" in the storied franchise.</p> <p>It's due out at some point in <strong>2026</strong> and features a completely unique world that both new and experienced players can dive right into. <p><strong>AiAi joins the race.</strong></p> <p>Sega has been bolstering the <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch-2/sonic-racing-crossworlds-nintendo-switch-2-edition">Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds</a> roster with all sorts of paid and free DLC characters, and the fifth free update is out this week.</p> <p>Following NiGHTS, who was added as a playable character at the end of last year, this time it's AiAi from the <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/games/gamecube/super_monkey_ball">Super Monkey Ball</a> series. SEGA Records $200 Million Impairment Loss As Angry Bird Dev's Performance Is "Sluggish"

Mini Review: Console Archives Cool Boarders (Switch 2) - Not Up There With 1080, But Still Pretty Rad

<p><strong>'90s snow-back.</strong></p> <p>Hamster Corporation is on something of a winning streak, with the fantastic <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/guides/every-arcade-archives-game-on-nintendo-switch-plus-our-top-picks">Arcade Archives</a> series continually dusting off and polishing hundreds of notable games from the annals of history. Well, those wizards are back with the fresh <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2026/02/hamsters-console-archives-starting-lineup-revealed-includes-more-than-10-titles">Console Archives</a> brand, and the now 30-year-old ‘radical’ PlayStation sports game <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch-2/console-archives-cool-boarders">Cool Boarders</a> is one of the first. Yes, 1996, three whole years before anything <strong>Tony Hawk</strong>-related would reach consoles.</p> <p>Much like the difference between skateboarding and snowboarding, in Cool Boarders, your character feels heavy, and your movements must be slow and deliberate if you want to pull off tricks. All this while carving fresh powder to avoid hitting trees or plummeting to a mountainous death. 'B' lets you jump, which will build speed and help you initiate tricks when leaping off heights.
