The layoffs continue with third-party publisher and developer Electronic Arts today announcing it would let go of 5% of its staff, which equates to about 670 employees.
In a message to the team, Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson has explained how this is a reaction to the "accelerating industry transformation". As a result, the company is moving away from the development of "future licensed IP" that may not be successful.
