A patch is still on the way.
Update : Although Aspyr has plans for a patch update to address this game-breaking bug affecting a small number of KOTOR II players on Switch, it's now shared a temporary workaround. Here's an official statement along with the required steps if you are stuck:
"We're aware of an issue that is preventing some STAR WARS™: Knights of the Old Republic™ II: The Sith Lords players from advancing in the game. Our data suggests that this is only affecting a small number of users but please rest assured that we're working on a patch to fix it."
