Update (Thu 30th Jul, 2020 09:45 BST): In a slightly surprising turn of events, today's Version 1.4.0 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons has added a workaround for the camera trick Nintendo originally patched out.
Previously, we reported on a glitch of sorts that allowed users to temporarily remove the game's UI, creating the opportunity for cinematic screenshots and videos to be taken. Nintendo removed that glitch, upsetting a number of creative fans, but you can now achieve the same results by using an approved in-game command.
