<p><strong>Here's what you can expect.</strong></p> <p><a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch-2/assassins-creed-shadows">Assassin's Creed Shadows</a> is out for the Switch 2 next week, and ahead of launch, Ubisoft has published a "deep dive" about the technical aspects of this port. Firstly, in both docked and handheld modes, the frame rate will target 30 fps. Resolution hasn't been revealed just yet.</p> <p>Along with this is support for ray-traced Global Illumination – with the team opting to use its solid baked Global Illumination system (which it also uses for "low-spec PC setups and Xbox Series S versions" of games), and citing "RAM memory reasons" as the main decision behind this. Shuten Order - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Out Now, Includes Paid Upgrade For Switch Owners

<p><strong>Featuring performance updates and mouse support.</strong></p> <p>Following the release of <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/games/switch-eshop/shuten_order">SHUTEN ORDER</a> on the Switch in September, a <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch-2/shuten-order-nintendo-switch-2-edition">Switch 2 Edition</a> has now been officially announced.</p> <p>It will arrive later this month on <strong>27th November 2025</strong> for the launch price of 6,579 yen. This <strong>10%</strong> discount is available until 4th December 2025. You'd think runners would know absolutely everything about this almost-30-year-old game, but recently, a brand new trick was discovered that will potentially change the nature of speedruns, particularly the 1 Star Speedrun, forever.</p> <p><a class="external" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDIxb6FX3RU">Bubzia</a>, a speedrunner who specialises in blindfolded speedruns, has documented the discovery of this new technique that has essentially wiped out one of the most famous skips in the game, the side backwards long jump (SBLJ, as it's more commonly known), which is used to skip the 30-star door in the basement of Peach's Castle. Mini Review: Arcade Archives 2 TOKYO WARS (Switch 2) - Another Polished But Wafer Thin Hamster Port

<p><strong>Tanks for the memories.</strong></p> <p>Hamster Corporation's Arcade Archives series is back with another cabinet classic on Switch 2. I got to check out Jet Ski racer <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch-2/arcade-archives-2-aqua-jet">Aqua Jet</a> back in August, which was a lovingly crafted port. This time I'm revisiting the destructive tank combat of Namco's <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch-2/arcade-archives-2-tokyo-wars">Tokyo Wars</a>, which served as inspiration for The 3DO Company's N64 classic <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/games/n64/battletanx_global_assault">Battle Tanx: Global Assault</a>.</p> <p>Aqua Jet was notable for having a cabinet containing a replica Jet Ski, something which can’t really be recreated on Switch (without some serious hardware modding). Tokyo Wars had a similar hardware quirk that provided a satisfying kickback to simulate your tank firing its payload. Diffidently, at first, then more boldly. Finally, hips swishing, stripper heels glittering, it announced itself across the Internet in a burst of dramatics. Timed Xbox Exclusive Little Rocket Lab Appears To Be Releasing On Switch Soon

<p><strong>Classic building and resource management gets cosy.</strong></p> <p>If you're a fan of cosy-style games and don't mind some classic building and resource management sim action, you might be interested in the upcoming Switch release <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/games/switch-eshop/little_rocket_lab">Little Rocket Lab</a>. This game originally made its console debut in October on the Xbox.</p> <p>After being <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/features/round-up-every-game-from-wholesome-snack-2024-coming-to-nintendo-switch">announced during the 'Wholesome Snack 2024' presentation</a> last December, it seems it might finally have a release date.
