<p>There's been a lot of disruptions here and there since the coronavirus outbreak was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization. Unfortunately, it's now also impacted the retail release date of <strong><a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch/wonderful_101_remastered">The Wonderful 101: Remastered</a></strong> by PlatinumGames.</p>
<p>If you've backed this game, you've likely already been notified about the potential delays, but for those who haven't, or perhaps just missed the news altogether, below is the message in full. This also includes the retail release which has been pushed back to 30th June in the US and 3rd July in Europe. Digital codes shouldn't be affected, and Platinum stills aims to get them out before the retail release.</p>

<p>The teams behind new Switch JRPG <strong>Revenge of Justice</strong> have both issued statements to their official websites today, apologising over content found within the game.</p>
<p>Both <a class="external" href="https://www.kemco.jp/infopage/information20200430.html">Kemco</a>, the game's publisher, and developer <a class="external" href="https://city-connection.co.jp/n200430.html">City Connection</a> have acknowledged reports that said the new game has a number of similarities to PC game, <strong>Harusuberiya Jojishi 2</strong>. After an investigation into the situation, it was found that the latter was used as a reference for certain scenarios, settings, character settings, and dialogue in the new game.</p>

<p>With the introduction of art in <strong><a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch/animal_crossing_new_horizons">Animal Crossing: New Horizons</a></strong> version 1.2.0, we've seen the return of Redd and his questionable selection of items to purchase. We've already <a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/guides/animal-crossing-new-horizons-redd-how-to-spot-fake-paintings-and-statues-and-unlock-crazy-redd">catalogued all of the fake and real paintings and statues</a> available in the game, and in that guide, we noticed that some pieces appeared to have more than one fake.</p>
<p>It now seems that the reason for this is that many of the fake artworks magically change depending on when you look at them. Spooky! The change appears to happen in the morning and then it switches back to its previous state in the evening.</p>

The Wonderful 101: Remastered File Size And Other Details Revealed

<p>We're only a handful of weeks away from the launch of <a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch/wonderful_101_remastered"><strong>The Wonderful 101: Remastered</strong></a> on Nintendo Switch, and several new details have now been confirmed thanks to the game receiving a pre-purchase page on the Japanese eShop.</p>
<p>Launching on 11th June in Japan (Europe and North America get it <a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2020/02/the_wonderful_101_remastered_secures_may_release_on_nintendo_switch">slightly earlier in May</a>), the game will take up 7.6 GB of space on your system. <p>You know how it is: you go to sleep on a creepy space-faring colony vessel which has a run in with a spacial anomaly and you wake up to find the halls of the ship stalked by a nightmarish enemy. Before you know it you're in a violent, existential fight for survival. <em>That old chestnut.</em></p>
<p>Actually, that <em>does</em> sound familiar. It would be fair to say that Firesprite Games' first-person horror roguelike <strong><a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch/persistence">The Persistence</a></strong> wears its influences proudly on its sleeve; the game's director Stuart Tilley acknowledged this in <a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2020/04/feature_firesprite_games_on_bringing_the_persistence_a_first-person_sci-fi_roguelike_to_switch_from_playstation_vr">our recent interview</a>. After escaping the goggle-y confines of PlayStation VR, the game is coming to Switch on 21st May and anyone with a cursory knowledge of the sci-fi horror genre may feel like they're playing 'spot the influence' when first firing it up.</p>

<h2><b>Known Issues for Alpha Skip-Ahead</b></h2>
We understand some issues have been listed in previous Xbox Insider Release Notes. These issues aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution. We appreciate your patience at this time!
<h4><strong>Audio</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Users who have Dolby Atmos enabled and console display settings set to 120hz with 36 bits per pixel (12-bit) are experiencing loss of Dolby Atmos audio in some situations.
<ul>
<li><strong>Workaround</strong>: Disable 120hz or set Video Fidelity to 30 bits per pixel (10-bit) or lower.</li>
</ul>

</ul>
<h4><strong>Game DVR</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Some users have reported that their clips are not recording the full length requested. This is being reported for 4K clips and non-4K clips. We are aware and investigating.</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>Guide</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Some users are reporting that they are not seeing Gamerpics or Profile information in the Friends tab.  We are aware of the issue and investigating.</li>
<li>We’ve received reports that the Friends tab is not showing the correct status of online/offline friends.</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>My Games & Apps</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Users have reported seeing black tiles instead of game artwork when browsing their collection.
<ul>
<li><strong>Note:</strong> We are still investigating the issue, please report the issue again from the console if you have done so with a prior update and are still seeing this behavior.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Some titles in collection may appear with a “trial” tag incorrectly in collection.</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>Profile Color</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.</li>
</ul>

Reggie Fils-Aimé Reveals New Gaming Podcast For Charity

<p><strong>'Talking Games with Reggie and Harold'.</strong></p>
<p>Ex-Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aimé has announced a brand new podcast called 'Talking Games with Reggie and Harold'. Hosted alongside award-winning author/journalist Harold Goldberg, the podcast is helping to raise money for the <a href="https://nygamecritics.com/about/">New York Videogame Critics Circle nonprofit's mentoring work</a> in the time of COVID-19.</p>
<p>The seven-part podcast will start to air in mid-May, with those who donate to the cause getting access to extra content and being given the chance to ask Reggie questions for the show. There are other perks, too, which are explained on the podcast's <a class="external" href="https://charity.gofundme.com/o/en/campaign/talking-games-with-reggie-and-harold">Go Fund Me page</a>.</p>

<p>The current coronavirus pandemic is causing untold stress and suffering for millions, but in the UK, something is being done to make life a little easier for the brave and committed health staff who are on the frontline of the crisis.</p>
<p>NHS workers in the UK are being gifted access to over 85,000 video games as a way of saying thank you for their commitment to safeguarding the health of the nation. Studios such as EA, PQube, Rare, Developer, Konami and Sega have signed up for the "Games for Carers" initiative, allowing NHS staff to play games during their "well-earned downtime" or use them to "provide relief for their families."<br />
<br />
To take part, NHS workers have to visit the dedicated <a href="https://giveaways.keymailer.co/nhs">Games for Carers website</a> and enter their NHS email address. According to the <a class="external" href="https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/newsbeat-52470542">BBC</a>, demand was so high that the site collapsed shortly after going live, but it's back up at the time of writing.</p>

<p>Since <a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch/animal_crossing_new_horizons"><strong>Animal Crossing: New Horizons</strong></a> launched last month, we've seen plenty of wonderful designs, islands and funny moments created by fans of the game. Despite all of that, we still never expected to see something quite like this.</p>
<p>As spotted by <a class="external" href="https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2020-04-28-someones-started-an-animal-crossing-weed-removal-service">Eurogamer</a>, a Reddit user going by the name of <a class="external" href="https://www.reddit.com/r/AnimalCrossing/comments/g9cocx/i_started_a_weed_removal_service_and_demand_was/?utm_content=timestamp&utm_medium=post_embed&utm_name=b3f405d68abe4466b0002fa1e967c32c&utm_source=embedly&utm_term=g9cocx">tybat11</a> has set up WeedCo, a weed removal service which can be called upon by Animal Crossing: New Horizons players. It probably sounds like we're joking, but this is an actual, real thing that's happening; demand has reached such a point that there's now an <a class="external" href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YJpI3anIFGtyR3Ne572pCuYGWYjEomICy4nUUyCnG-M/edit">online booking form</a>.</p>
